Mercury/Mariner/MERCRUISER
 Factory Warranty
 (Australia & New Zealand)

This warranty applies to new Mercury Outboards, Mariner Outboards and MerCruiser Stern Drives and Inboards1.  These warranties do not apply to products which have been imported or retailed by an importer which is not factory authorised2, as outlined below:

Engines Eligible For Factory Warranty

Factory warranty will apply to Mercury Outboard, Mariner Outboard and MerCruiser Stern Drives and Inboards imported and distributed by Marine Power International P/L or Marine Power NZ Ltd.1

Warranty coverage is available to retail customers who purchase from a dealer authorised by Marine Power International P/L or Marine Power NZ Ltd to distribute the product in the country in which the sale occurred.1

The engine must be warranty registered with Marine Power International and a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) completed by the authorised dealer to be eligible for warranty.

Engines Not Eligible for Factory Warranty2

Imported Privately or Purchased from Third Party Importers:

Factory warranty coverage is not available for engines imported privately or purchased from third party importers3.

Engines Not Purchased From Authorised Mercury/Mariner/MerCruiser Dealers:

Factory warranty will not apply to engines purchased on-line, through auctions or from sellers who are not authorised by Marine Power International P/L or Marine Power NZ Ltd.

2.  Statutory warranties and consumer guarantees may, however, apply.  This notice is not intended to limit or affect the purchaser's rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law (Australian purchasers) or the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (New Zealand purchasers) or any other legislation.
3. .The term "Third Party importer" refers to boat & engine brokers who are not authorised Mercury Marine dealers.  Third Party imports are also referred to as "Grey Market" or "Parallel" imports
